Biesse took part at the last edition of Lesdrevmash fair from 24th to 27th October, the specialized Woodworking Machinery Exhibition held at the Expocenter of Moscow.
This participation, despite the long tradition of Biesse Group as exhibitor at the fair, had a special meaning, since it was the first time that the company attended the event as Biesse Group Russia LLC. This, in fact, is the name of the new Russian subsidiary which is 100 percent property of Biesse. The main aim is to improve the capacity of satisfying any operative need directly on the territory.
The advantages of this territorial unit are various: an highly specialized local team able to provide technical-commercial consultations at any levels, also for integrated plants; an original-spare-parts stock available off the shelf; an after sale service with specialized local operators trained in the headquarters in Italy; a wide-spread, yet selected distributive network which grants the highest contact with customers.
The news about the recent Russian subsidiary has been positively greeted by visitors at Lesdrevmash 2016. They immediately grasped the numerous benefits that such a reality can bring about in the Russian territory, and not only there.
The Biesse stand, located at the entrance of the Italian pavillion, had a surface of 400 sqm where it was possible to see many of the innovative Biesse technologies in action. From the sizing solutions with “Selco SK4” equipped with “Twin Pusher” technology, to edgebanding ones, with “Akron 1440” and its innovative “Air Force System” that allows the application of edges through hot air, without the use of glues. In the stand were also displayed drilling solutions with “Eko 2.1”, various working centres, as the brand new 5 axis “Rover A smart” and the “Rover J FT”, and Viet machineries as the sanding machine “S1” that combines high performances with a compact design, maintaining the reliability and the resistance which distinguishes the Viet range.
In terms of visitors, Biesse Russia’s results at Lesdrevmash have been certainly positive, with a substantial increase compared to 2015. This trend further confirms a gradual, even though not definitive, recovery of the Russian market. Many orders have been finalized during of the fair and even more negotiations have been started that will be translated into great results in terms of order intake.
From 22 to 26 Otober, exactly one year after the historic opening of Biesse Turkey, Biesse’s commitment to the Turkish market is greatly rewarded by their customers at the Tüyap Wood Processing Machinery trade show with a record of signed orders reaching over 5 Million Euros. Despite recent events, Biesse Turkey has tirelessly kept the Customer as our central focus, putting all investments towards personnel inside our Subsidiary. Based on the results achieved, our Customers recognize the high quality product we provide but also appreciate our dedication to providing them with the highest level of service support available, exceeding all known industry standards.

Biesse is the only subsidiary from this industry in the region and at the Tüyap trade fair they exhibited a full range of innovative solutions for sizing, boring, milling, edgebanding ,sanding and 4.0 handling equipments. In a dedicated area of the booth, a team of specialists also gave visitors detailed demonstrations on the latest release of “bSuite”, the revolutionary software platform that allows an even fuller integration between the machine and computerized information.
Biesse is dedicated to supporting their customers, not only through technology but also through education. During Tüyap 2016, Biesse reiterated this commitment by working in partnership with the Chamber of Forestry Engineers and the Wood Products Industrial Engineering Association to organize the “Adventure of Wood Design” symposium.
