Dimaf-Xylexpo twinning

The International Demonstration of Forest Machinery and Equipment (www.dimaf.it), a leading event for Italian forestry, will be associated to Xylexpo, the biennial international exhibition of woodworking technology (www.xylexpo.com).

The agreement aims at creating an event in Italy where all the sections of the forest-wood process chain are represented, as it already happens at the exhibitions in Munich, Hannover, Jönköping etc.

For this purpose, while preserving the three demo days in the woods and the program of conferences, the Dimaf event will be anticipated and held concurrently with Xylexpo, scheduled at the Rho Exhibition Center in Milan from 27 to 31 May 2008.

The 15th Dimaf will be held on 30-31 May and 1 June 2008 in the woods surrounding S. Fedele Intelvi (Como).

The organizers are planning to expand the range of machinery, equipment and products, including forest transportation, nursery, enhancement of grazing land, bio-construction and anything useful to improve the care of forest areas and the social-economic management of mountain communities.

Dimaf, through scientific information about machinery, equipment and sustainable products, and Xylexpo, a leading exhibition platform worldwide, will be able to display the leading-edge offer of the different sectors of the forest-wood industry to a qualified audience coming from Italy and all over the world.
