Wood coatings: a great merger

The Italian widest range of wood coatings has been developed through the strengthening of research laboratories and through the concentration of production in the most modern and effective wood and resin coating facility in Europe. (www.ivmgroup.com).
This is the sense of the challenge of the IVM Group  (www.ivmgroup.com) which expects a strong growth in Europe as well as in 70 world countries. Yesterday the group announced the merger of its companies Milesi, Ilva Polimeri and Intercoating.
The new organization is called Ivm Chemicals and it will be aimed at specializing the different brands as industrial excellence products, continuing to promote their history and their business features and to increase hi-tech developments and economy competitiveness.
the new group will boost the investments on the big facility in Parona, leveraging process harmonization and service standardization for all markets, in view of the strong expansion.
To achieve the goal, the company will also create the most important European research laboratory on nanotechnologies applied to the painting cycle. The new Italian company has a 190 million euro turnover, 80 million euros of net assets and employs over 800 operators in Italy (of which 500 are direct and 300 operate in the sales area and technical assistance).
“For big companies operating also in the chemical industry”, said Federica Teso, Vice President of the Group, “a vital choice was made:or delocalize most of the production or continue to bet on Italy, transforming the international projection into a synergic development goal in Italy”.
The Ivm Group – which has 350 million euro turnover with over 1,300 employees at international level – chose the second option counting on a competitive increase of made in Italy products; an increase which is possible only rationalizing and strengthening the investments on research in specific fields such as nanotechnologies – which represents the success key for the future.
The merger will generate the centralization and the coordination of the research and laboratory activities through a know-how exchange and the optimization of the results. This will constantly increase the quality of the end product in order to have success in all the markets characterized by low quality and environmentally dangerous solutions.
