
A great institutional communication campaign. A redesigned logo, summing up the many news that will characterize the next event, and a road show through some of the most important markets for Italian technology.
These are the starting actions that will open up the “big building site” of what is going to be Xylexpo New 2008 – the biennial exhibition dedicated to woodworking technologies and accessories, materials and semi-finished products for the furniture industry – schedule in Milan next May 27-31.
The new logo (that can be downloaded from www.xylexpo.com/eng/index.cfm?id=149), features the addition of the “new” bubble, as a declaration that the organizers will turn the new Xylexpo into an event for the whole industry. As announced, the 2008 edition will open the doors to semifinished materials and furniture supplies, but it will also have a strong focus on forestry (through the partnership with Dimaf, international forest equipment demonstration) and wood constructions, creating totally new scenarios and visiting routes. The goal is to provide visitors with everything that represents technology, innovation and productivity, but also with the opportunity to meet the leading actors from the many sectors that make up the universe of woodworking and furniture.
This message marks a transition from the past and is the real big news of the upcoming event, which has been presented in a series of meetings held in the most advanced woodworking regions all over the world, at leading exhibitions, where Xylexpo NEW is being introduced to press, opinion leaders and industry people. Organizers have already illustrated the new project in Las Vegas (Usa) and Kiev (Ukraine). A few days ago – November 8 – they were presenting it in Valencia (Spain). Today – November 12 – it has been introduced in Istanbul (Turkey), December 5 in Moscow (Russia), February 6 in Dubai (Arab Emirates), March 1 in Bangalore (India) and March 8 in Beijing (China). This road show aims at informing all potential visitors and exhibitors about the event that is awaiting them in Milan in May 2008.
The same commitment is being devoted to the promotion campaign, to be defined in these days and launched in the early weeks of next year. It will involve publications in 41 countries, where the advertising page of the Milan show will be published several times.
These initiatives will explain the new route of Xylexpo New after 40 years of history, and the work required to provide technology and material suppliers with the opportunity to be at the core of a big global event.
