The Ikea Group is investing  in a great furniture factory

The Ikea Group has already started to build a huge furniture factory in Hultsfred (Sweden), close to its particleboard panels production site in Swedwood. The company investment is expected to exceed 26 million euro. The furniture factory will start the production by 2008. Plants have been designed by Mared Ab in Jönköping and a great part of the machines will be provided by Anthon. The factory production is expected to reach 2.6 million furniture items per year with the use of light panels. The company will operate with a special attention on control, quality and packaging. The overall staff will not exceed 150 employees due to the high degree of automation.
