Woodworking machinery in Germany: a good September calms down negative results of 2008

Thanks to the increase of orders  acquired during September 2008 in comparison with last year, the result of third quarter 2008 in Germany for woodworking machinery has a positive sign (+1 percent) vs. the same period  of the last year.
By the way, inside market orders decreased of 17 percent , while for the foreign market the result is +5 percent .
No good results are foreseen for the fourth quarter,  so that turnover forecasts have been retouched down in comparison with the beginning of the year and brought to an increase of +4 percent  instead of +11 percent  which was foreseen at the beginning of the year.
Obviously every sector has a different trend: while producers of big plants can still count on turnover increases, simple machine producers are the most penalized by the recession phase.
