“Feel the real wood” is the motto of the European Veneer Convention and the accompanying showcase exhibition on the 14th and 15th May at the interzum trade fair in Cologne (13th-16th May 2009). The thematic emphasis is on emotion and elegance, attractiveness and design and the natural and sustainable qualities of veneer – all attributes which clearly underline the difference between the high-class material and its paper or film imitations. A second focus during the convention will be the high-tech qualities of modern veneers which facilitate its unproblematic use in many applications.
