The 40 years of Biesse Group

Biesse Group has chosen the international Ligna 2009 (11-18 May) – where it will exhibit with a 2000-square-meter area (Hall 25, stand B46, C45 and Hall 11, Stand D56) – to celebrate its 40^th anniversary, a long history that has taken a small company founded in Pesaro in 1969 for the production of a “visionary” multiple boring machine to become one of the global leaders in the production of machinery and integrated systems for wood, glass, marble and stone.
“I’m very proud that the challenge my father undertook forty years ago has turned into such an important achievement”, says Roberto Selci, son of the Biesse founder Giancarlo Selci and current president and ceo of the company.
Talent, vision and a team of professionals are some of the factors that have led to the international success of a group offering modular solutions from turnkey design of plants for big furniture companies (with the Biesse Systems brand), as well as single automatic machines, working centers for small and medium businesses, up to the design and sale of single high-tech components. Listed at the Star stock exchange in Italy since 2001, Biesse distributes its products through a network of 300 resellers and agents and 30 subsidiaries in strategic regions, with massive investments in research and development to provide a constant flow of innovation and upgrades.
