German furniture: turnover reduced

In the first semester of 2009 the turnover of the German furniture decreased by 13.8 percent compared to the same period of the last year. On the internal market, the decline in turnover was by 12,6 percent, while export was by 16.9 percent.
The fall affected especially the office furniture industry (-15.7 percent), followed by the house furniture (-13.8 percent). The kitchen furniture sector decreased by 13,1 percent, while the mattresses’ one by 9 percnet.
