The third edition of Made expo

Everything is ready – or almost ready – for the third edition of Made Expo-Milano architettura design edilizia, the international exhibition dedicated to the construction and design industries, organized by Made Eventi and promoted by Federlegno-Arredo and Uncsaal. The event is scheduled from February 3 to 6, 2010, at Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center. It will be the last edition to be held at the beginning of the year; then, the event will be moved to autumn starting from 2011, when it is scheduled from 5 to 8 October.
The approach of the Milan-based exhibition will be based on cross-industry topics and focus of technology, innovations and creativity; these are the roots of the key strengths of the 2010 exhibition. A central role will be played by structural wood, a product which is not fading away; on the contrary, it is increasing its importance within the event in terms of assigned space and exhibiting companies. Many events and initiatives will be promoted and organized by Assolegno/FederlegnoArredo to inform and update all industry professionals: one of these initiatives is represented by the first national contest of solid wood classifiers and an exhibition on the use of wood for reconstruction in earthquake areas in Abruzzo.

The heart of the 2010 edition will be the Forum on Structural Engineering, a meeting place with several initiatives and conferences focused on the strategic role played by structural engineering in the areas of building and construction.
The main innovations of Made expo include Civitas, a 2,500 square metres area created by Uncsaal to illustrate the most innovative technological solutions of Italian companies in the building industry. It is a sort of conceptual town, a large space with four large thematic streets, with products and projects: these four streets will lead to the Agora, a multimedia and interactive square with an integrated system of virtual reality, where visitors can access with 3D vision glasses.
Borghi e centri storici (Hamlets and Historical Centers) is another initiative by Made expo dedicated to the renovation and improvement of Italian villages and historical town centers, thanks to advanced technical know-how for renovation, planning, bio-architecture and new energy sources. The exhibition will include again Decor&Color Show (the meeting point for color and new solutions for paints, enamels and decorative finishes) Europolis, a special area dedicated to swimming pools, sports facilities, fitness and urban furniture, showing all innovations in this industry segment, and “Made Sicura”, which will present innovative techniques for safety in construction sites.
The 2010 edition of Made expo will feature the participation of the former United States president, Bill Clinton, who will close the inauguration meeting of the third edition of the exhibition, scheduled on February 3.
