Dieffenbacher: Osb line in Asia enters production in record time

The commissioning work on the first Osb line in Asia has been completed in record time by Dieffenbacher (www.dieffenbacher.com). The first board was produced on 8 October 2010, only 16 months after signing of the contract between the Hubei Baoyuan Group of China and Dieffenbacher. The plant is located close to Jingmen City, in Hubei Province.
The average production volume of the eight-foot wide and 30 meter long “Cps“press will be 220,000 m3 per year.
The scope of supply  includes the main equipment package for Osb processing, including wood loading, strand manufacture, wet strand storage, drum dryer, dry strand storage, screening and gluing.
The core of the press is the latest 3-head Osb spreading system developed by Dieffenbacher to ensure the highest accuracy of spreading and minimum board tolerances. The press outfeed the board finishing systems the system of electrical automation and monitoring were also supplied by Dieffenbacher Group.
