Promo_legno general assembly

Friday, March 18, 2011, to coincide with Legno&Edilizia exhibition, was held in Verona promo_legno (pro_holz) annual meeting, Association for the promotion of wood in Italy. In a room full of members, both Italian and Austrian director Georg Binder presented the 2010 budget and introduced the strategy and business plan until 2015, while Francesca Carlet, the General Secretary, recalled the main stages of the 2010 program and highlighted the great development of the association network that, thanks to the expansion of the program and the tools available to designers, has increased from approximately 14 thousand contacts in the year of 2006 to over 60 thousand in 2010.
Confirmed the bodies of the Association under the chairmanship of Maurizio Colella and the direction of Georg Binder, both in office until 2012. Promo_legno also welcomed the entry of three new members: companies Service Legno of Spresiano (Treviso), Iavarone Industria Legnami of Naples and the agent Dagobert Profanter Castelrotto (Bolzano). Members who support the work of the association are currently 35: 22 companies and 13 wood agents.
Top issues of promo_legno for the coming years will be the restoration of existing structures, including extensions and elevations, building multi-storey in the urban contest and greater involvement in the activities of technical information for the civilians genes, government and social housing organization, as well as the progressive support for the reintroduction of the theme of wood in Italian universities.
