Every workshop offers potential for enhanced productivity, increased efficiency and workflow optimization. At its “Practive” stand, the Homag Group will be on hand to demonstrate an array of solutions for almost every conceivable requirement, particularly to address the growing demand for individuality and customized solutions. Flexibility in production starts right from the storage and handling stage, with solutions from Bargstedt, reflecting the growing importance of handling and automation. Integrated solutions can encompass a Holzma saw, for instance, optionally equipped with the innovative “Domino system” labelling and stacking concept, or a Weeke nesting machine. Further down the line, sanding machines from Buetfering and edge banders from Brandt and Homag in different performance categories ensure the production of workpieces to an exemplary standard of quality.
From the use of hot-melt glues through Pu to zero joints using the patented “laserTec” method, woodworking shops will find everything they could possibly need to address the quality expectations of their customers. Cnc processing centres from Weeke and Homag also open up perspectives on whole new possibilities for highly flexible production. Simple return conveyors and innovative assembly and packaging technology from Ligmatech make a major contribution towards efficient working.
The Homag Group offers the exciting prospect of new perspectives right along the process chain, as well as creating innovative impetus in the process sector too – always with one aim in mind: to enhance efficiency.
No workshop concept without standalone machines
Standalone machines to address every performance category and requirement abreast of the latest stage of developments for both woodworking shops and industrial enterprises form the key focus for the Homag Group.
There will be a range of workshop concepts on show at the Homag Group stand to demonstrate what opportunities are on offer in the woodworking shop sector and how the different machines interact with each other. Today’s cabinetmaker, for instance, is able to respond to the needs of tomorrow using a flexible production cell. A workshop for small-series carcase component production offers proof of extreme flexibility, while in a nesting production workshop the Homag Group will be demonstrating what it means to optimize material input.
The software fuels the machine
One of the key factors in any efficient and flexible production set-up is the software. With Homag “eSolution”, the Homag Group is operating in cooperation with a high-powered professional corporation. Software solutions such as “woodCad|Cam” offer the perfect addition to machines from the Homag Group. Attractive 3d room planning of products at the customer’s point of sale, free design and a fully functional cad program make for a reliable and simple process from the first idea through to the finished product. This offers users the benefit of a seamless one-stop software solution which guarantees an optimum workflow.
Individual wooden window production
Homag Group machines leave no holds barred in terms of individuality, leaving the user optimum scope for creative solutions. Homag cnc processing centres offer customers outstanding flexibility coupled with performance. The available spectrum covers every performance category – whether for windows, window jambs, upright and transom constructions, conservatories, door leaves and where applicable also staircases and furniture components. This enormous versatility helps increase capacity utilization, reduces hourly rates and so cuts piece costs.

The highlight at this year’s Holz-Handwerk is the new
“powerProfiler Bmb 900”. A true multi-talent which can be fitted with up to 432 tools, this processing centre takes care of the whole range of single part complete processing functions for window components (also arched), front door leaves and upright/transom constructions. Simultaneous processing of several workpieces for up to 40 window units a day can be achieved without problems. Flexible product design with five-axis technology and automatic workpiece handling leave plenty of space for additional processing scope.
All processing centres can be integrated into production lines and linked to trade-specific software, creating optimum investment security for the customer. Despite the unpredictability of the marketplace, Homag processing centres allow clients to respond to changing market challenges with the utmost flexibility and spontaneity. Homag has been producing machines for the window sector for over 15 years, and may boast several 100 Homag processing centres operating successfully for window producers around the world. This expertise in window production gathered over many years has been concentrated in the new “powerProfiler Bmb 900”. Customers will be able to grow in step with this unique technology and break out into whole new areas of expertise.
Holzma will be launching their
new two series. The new “Hpp 250”, sportings 75 mm saw blade projection, will be on show. This panel saw, and the entire series, boasts an attractive new design, more optional extras and higher speed. The new integrated feedstacking table with automatic panel labelling system stands out as technical highlight – a time-saving solution with minimum space requirement, which makes it ideal for woodworking shops too. The “Hpp 250” can be seen with a
Bargstedt “Tlf 210” horizontal storage system. This automated saw-storage combination pays off as soon as just 30 randomly stacked panels are handled per day. A number that even small businesses can easily reach. Furthermore, automated panel handling ensures better structurisation, improved transparency and smoother production processes. It saves time and provides increased flexibility in cutting.
True to the motto of a “grow-as-you-go saw”, the focus again this year is on the Holzma system concept. This concept can be put into practice thanks to a modular principle of needs-based complementary technologies. Holzma will be demonstrating this at Nuremberg on an “Hpp 80” equipped with “Easy2Feed”, “Domino System”,” Power Concept” and many other custom extras.
Furthermore, all the saws on exhibit will be equipped with a wide variety of technical features. Visitors will have the chance to see established options and option packages live in action too. Experts for the optimisation software “Cut Rite” and the “CadMatic” machine controller will naturally also be available at the Fair to answer any questions and discuss technical details, as will specialists from the Holzma Service and Support Team.
