The Fibonacci Prize to Engineer Agostino Bacci

On 2 March this year in Pisa, has been awarded the XVI Fibonacci Award to Engineer Agostino Bacci.
A prize, established by the Chamber of Commerce in 1967, which is distributed to living personalities who have distinguished themselves with initiatives and works from which the Pisan economy has taken impetus, prestige and dignity.
The award has been delivered with the following motivation: “The Engineer Agostino Bacci is a successful entrepreneur who has achieved success in the markets in Italy and abroad, occupying a leading position internationally in the construction industry of woodworking machinery. The focus on innovation and continuous development of its technology have allowed companies to reach a very high technological level and production standards of quality and reliability. An entrepreneur who has helped to drive prestige and dignity to the economy of Pisa“.
Class 1945, Agostino Bacci is the current administrator of Paolino Bacci srl, of Bacci Meccanica srl and Forte srl. He was member of board of directors of Acimall, the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association, he was president of Eumabois, the European Federation of woodworking machinery manufacturers, vice president of the industrial Union and a member of national council of Industrial Confederation.
