“WoodEye 5” makes its debut on the American market

Innovativ Vision’s new timber scanner, the “WoodEye 5”, has now made its breakthrough on the American market. On 4 June, the first “WoodEye 5” scanner was sold to Miller Wood Design. Miller Wood Design produces stair parts, turnings and panels, delivering to customers throughout the Usa and Canada. The sale was carried out alongside business partner Eagle Machinery & Supply, Inc.
The “WoodEye 5” was launched on the global market in June 2011. The scanner, which is the fifth generation WoodEye, is completely unique compared to earlier scanners from Innovativ Vision. It is equipped with ultramodern industrial computers and an integrated infeed and outfeed system. It boasts the latest camera and laser technology, a precise inspection system and capability for six-sided inspection. The new user interface in the “WoodEye 5”, with multi-touch functions, interactive parameter settings and self diagnostics, puts the scanner in a class of its own regarding user friendliness.
Also the partnership between Innovativ Vision and the Finnish Projecta delivers results, with the sale of the first “WoodEye 5” to a Finnish timber company since they joined forces earlier this year.
