Cruing Italy awarded in Paris for “Aerotech” system
Italy has a record of technological innovation. And the success bears the signature of Cruing Italy. The company, which since 1964 manufactures precision cutting tools, has recently received in Paris the “Europe Jec Innovation Award 2013“, the prize that the Jec Group, the world’s largest organization of the aviation industry, gives annually to businesses who have distinguished themselves for their innovations in the field of composite materials. A prestigious recognition that the Cruing, not only company partner to be awarded among the Italian, has been assigned to the category Mechanics and Tools, next to important international likes Bmw Group, which was awarded the special prize Jec, Peugeot-Citroen, winning in the category Automotive and Agusta Westland, the winner in the category Aerospace.
At the heart of its success, the system “Aerotech“, a solution of instrumentation designed by Cruing to evacuate hot particles of dust produced during cutting, which has obtained the patent. This application is provided with a system of air cooling can effectively and strongly reduce the processing temperatures, thus allowing to use the dry cutting of composite elements and constituting a valid alternative to machining with coolant (wet cutting). The system ensures a good finish on the edges and preventing delamination of the material.
With “Aerotech” Cruing has embarked on a path at the same time on three levels of development and improvement: health, environmental sustainability and conservation. The innovation, in fact, eliminating the use of chemical refrigerants, protects the workers from diseases which would otherwise be subject, such as diseases of the skin, esophagus, and lung carcinomas. The work environment is therefore cleaner, without any negative impact on the ecosystem. Decreasing, in addition, the need for use of compressed air, Aerotech also allows to save energy, with positive effects on the territory.
