The fifth edition of Sicam ended with a positive impact

Sicam, the International exhibition of components, semi-finished products and accessories for the furniture industry ended friday last in the Pordenone fairground with over 16,000 visitors in the four opening days. This data thanks to the high quality of the visitors satisfied the expectations of the exhibitors.

The distinguishing element of this Sicam edition was the high international quote of trade visitors coming from 94 countries of the five continents, confirming the same quality of presence of last year.
The organizer of the event, Carlo Giobbi, declared: “Sicam affirmed its importance in the international markets, especially regards to the emerging countries to which we pay every year a close attention” .

With the 35 percent of the presences from abroad, Sicam still confirms to be the most excellent event for the Italian furniture industry: “From a brief glace at the registration files and from what exhibitors had to say – continued Mr. Giobbi – we can affirm that all the most important companies, visited the exhibition in these opening days. No doubt, Sicam is the fundamental event to monitor and control the national market which remains one of the most important of all for the furnishing branch”.

The reduction of visits, still confirmed to only 6 percent, can be explained on one hand by the decrease of companies in the market compared to last year, and on the other hand with the cutback of the staff visiting the fair for each company.
