Holz-Handwerk 2014
All is ready for Holz-Handwerk exhibition, definitely increasingly attractive in the global trade fairs for the wood-furniture industry. From the 26th to the 29th March 2014 in Nueremberg will be occupied all the 170 thousand square meters of exhibition space available. In 2012 were reached 98 thousand visitors, of which over 25 thousand from abroad and the exhibitors record was established with 778 exhibiting companies.
Every two years Holz-Handwerk is held in combination with fensterbau/frontale (exhibition for windows and doors) and in 2012 the two exhibitions attracted together about 99 thousand professional visitors and 1200 exhibitors.
Stefan Dittrich, project manager at Holz-Handwerk, emphasizes the purpose of the event as a “fair for carpenters”. He reminds 497 exhibitors on 50 thousand square meters in 2012. A growing data, so that for the first time supplies and technologies will occupy also part of the hall 8. Seven are the halls already “sold out” .
This year Holz-Handwerk host 31 Italian exhibitors (they were 22 in 2012), among which the most important players in the market (Biesse Cefla, Cms, Scm).
Dennis Bieselt, on behalf of Vdma, the association of German manufacturers of woodworking technology, said that 2013 will close with a sales growth of 2.4 percent, 2.5 percent is planned for 2014.
The German manufacturers sell machinery in Italy for €28 millions. Italy is the major exporter of technology to Germany, worthing around 41 million Euros.
Wood, says Bieselt, is living a good season in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, especially for craft industry and “more luxury” processing.
Excellent performance for wood carpentry: companies “burst” of work in an optimal construction season.
Bieselt adds that the perception is that the market for wood technologies is saturated. It invested heavily in recent years, so we expect a “downsizing”.
