Bosch Rexroth: new acquisitions in Africa and South America

Bosch Rexroth has strengthened its presence in Africa and South America with two major operations that strengthen the capacity of overseeing growth sectors and meet the expectations of the market.

In Africa strengthens its position by acquiring a stake of 50 per cent of its sales partners Hytec Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group Tesuco. Hytec Holdings generated a turnover of nearly 1 billion rand (approximately Eur 63 million) in the fiscal year 2013/2014 with about 675 employees.
The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, will consolidate the positioning of Hytec as a leading supplier and manufacturer of hydraulic components and automation and fluid power solutions in Africa.
Bosch Rexroth will have the option to increase its stake over the next few years, up to 100 percent of the Hytec Group.
The 31 branches of Hytec ensure a quality presence in South Africa, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia, providing a solid foundation for Bosch Rexroth further expand its network in Africa, which represents a growth area of ​​great importance.
 
The acquisition of the hydraulic division of the company Maestranza Diesel SA based in Santiago de Chile is subject to final approval by the competent authorities.
