The tour will allow the Group to meet these retailers within their specific manufacturing districts, bringing Scm Group technology into close contact with the specific needs of small and medium-sized businesses: this is the leitmotiv of the T-Days on Tour, which will bring the action to the headquarters and showrooms of key retailers.

 

It all starts at Cantù, in the heart of the Brianza region. The privileged audience to the first show will be made up of artisan and small and medium-sized companies, who have been at the heart of a very successful industry for a number of decades. These groups will be the guests of honour at the Tomesani headquarters in Cantù – this historical Brianza retailer will be welcoming the first episode of “Technology Days on Tour”, in their buildings in Via Lario. A range of top-of-the-range solutions will be on show, alongside numerous examples of the extensive solutions offered by the Rimini-based company: from the Morbidelli “Author M600” machining centre (with automatic table) to the Stefani “Solution MD” edgebanding machines, the circular saws from the newly re-imagined “L’Invincibile” range (which have long been a point of reference for the industry) and the Scm “Olimpic K800” edgebanding machine.

 

The decision to organise the first stage of the tour around the sales network in Brianza is of particular significance – this area is a centre of excellence for wood machining operations and for furniture manufacture, at the beginning of a new season of success in which new technologies will play a starring role. The concept of “flexible manufacturing” and “just in time” will be the underlying theme which unites the various demonstrations and presentations which will run at Tomesani over the three day period, alongside presentations of the new “Xylog Maestro” software, which integrates machining operations for artisan companies, optimising competitiveness and providing opportunities for development.

 

The first ever “Technology Days on Tour” will take place during the traditional “Festival of wood” which will entertain the Brianza furniture capital from 20 September to 5 October, which was conceived, implemented and supported by Riva 1920 – a brand with no need for introductions. This event will represent an opportunity to confirm and build upon the partnership which has long united Riva 1920 and Scm Group and which will take shape during the evening of 26 September, when “Technology Days on tour” guests will be able to visit the “Riva 1” production unit and the Museum of wood , made famous by Riva across the world.
