With over 17,000 visitors during the four day period, the sixth edition of Sicam can now be archived. The International exhibition of components, accessories and semi-finished products for the furniture industry came to a close on Friday 17th October in Pordenone. An extremely positive result that has surely exceeded expectations, leaving a great sense of satisfaction with the exhibitors of the event.
Overseas markets represented around 35 percent of the exhibitors, increasing as a result the international image of an event which, on this level, has few rivals. It must also be mentioned positively, that Sicam continues to confirm itself as the event of excellence for the Italian furniture industry also.
Considering the fact that the number of companies in this industry has been contracting for years, the increase in visitors that Sicam 2014 has seen signals an injection of trust for the industry and is testimony to its vigour and fervor, attributes that help to create a positive outlook. “We must still analyse the registrations in detail” said event organiser Carlo Giobbi in regards to this. “But what was said today also by our exhibitors shows an “ever-increasingly optimistic reasoning” coming from all those working in these markets with innovative ideas and spirit”.
Another confirmation emerging from Sicam 2014, regards the level of quality in the visitors: The Exhibition of Pordenone has shown once again this year that it excels in knowing how to keep intact its fame as a world-leader, that participates not only with the top players in the trade-fair-field, but also the world leaders of the furniture industry and its buyers. Coming from 95 different countries over five continents, foreign operators have raised the level of presence to one far superior to that of last year. “This can be confirmed in this way” revealed Mr. Giobbi “There is a strong value of Sicam for International markets, above all for those emerging, which we watch over every year with maximum attention. Also its importance as a window for new ideas, of design and technical innovation, and of products whose accessories and components generate evolution every year, to support in the best possible way all producers of furniture and complementary components”.
The appointment for the seventh edition of Sicam, is programmed to be from Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th of October 2015.
