Intensive exhibition calendar in October Eumabois network
The autumn agenda of international exhibitions is packed with events in October. Several woodworking technology exhibitions are planned in different expo centers around the world.
Four events are listed in the Eumabois Network: Drema in Poznan, Poland; Woodprocessing Machinery in Istanbul, Turkey; Vietnamwood in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Wood-Tec in Brno, Czech Republic.
Drema will take place from 6 to 9 October 2015 at the Poznan Congress Center. The 31st edition of this annual exhibition will host companies from the entire supply chain, including forestry, biomass, chemical products and furniture. Poland is a very important market in Europe. According to Acimall analysts (the Italian association of woodworking machinery and tools’ manufacturers, in charge for the Eumabois secretariat), in 2014 Poland imported machinery for a total value of 208 million euro, up by 28.7 percent from the previous year.
Woodprocessing will take place from 10 to 14 October at the Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, concurrently with the furniture and component exhibition Intermob. The Turkish event is coming up strong, leveraging a domestic market that has been growing for several years. Last year, 861 companies from 30 countries covered an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters in 14 halls.
Vietnam’ capital Ho Chi Minh is hosting Vietnamwood (14/17 October), dedicated to the wood supply chain. The exhibition is supported by major global industry associations and will feature several collective pavilions: Canada, China, France, Germany, Spain, Taiwan and the Usa. A huge lineup of exhibitors from 21 countries will cover an area of 13,500 square meters.
At the end of October, from 20 to 23, the Czech Republic will host the traditional Brno event. Wood-tec is a historical exhibition and a key date for Czech visitors. Market figures in 2014 were positive, with a value of woodworking machinery import of 74 million euro, up by 21 percent from 2013.
