Greda: a very intensive Season

The second half of the year will be very busy for the Italian manufacturer of NC-machining centers offering high levels of specialization.

Events are coming up in tight sequence for Greda, the company based in Mariano Comense (Como, Italy – http://www.greda.it/en/) with longstanding experience in solid wood machining centers offering high levels of specialization according to customer requirements. “Smart” effective machines that − as several markets are becoming “mature” and therefore more interested in automated, accurate, fast and flexible solutions − are driving Greda to increase efforts all over the world.
In the past few weeks, the company was in Shanghai for Fmc China 2015, an important exhibition for Greda’s business in that market, where they collaborate with Euma BeiJing Machinery Co. Ltd., a specializing reseller for solid wood processing technology in a country like China, increasingly “attracted” by highly-automated systems.
Our participation in Shanghai – said Marianna Daschini, co-owner of the company together with brother Piero – proved our focus on this huge market. Since Interzum Guangzhou last March, we have been recording increasing interest for advanced five-axis machining centers. Great appreciation was recorded by “Mitika” (www.greda.it/en/Machines/Purple/mitika.php), one of our latest five-axis numerical control machining centers that can turn and route any wood piece”.

NEXT DATES
Everything’s ready for the next trip to Poznan, from 6 to 9 October, to exhibit at Drema. In Poland, Greda will be in Deta Polska’s booth, an active reseller in that market, showing the small but powerful four-axis machining center “Poker” (www.greda.it/en/Machines/Purple/poker.php), definitely Greda’s most appreciated solution in the chair industry and for a wide range of solid wood operations, even more effective following the technical department’s decision to add a gouge unit to carry out also turning operations on the same machine.

From 10 to 14 October, it will be the turn of Wood Processing Machinery in Istanbul. “Turkey is becoming a more and more interesting market year after year”, commented Marianna Daschini. “Together with our reseller Tekser Makina, we will exhibit both “Poker” and “Mitika”, very appreciated in this country and suitable to meet the future developments of many factories, looking for increasingly specialized technology”.

The final stage for this year will be in Russia, from 24 to 27 November, at Woodex in Moscow, in collaboration with reseller MDM Techno. Once again “Poker” will be under the spotlights in a market where Greda is very confident, despite the recent political and economic events that have affected this huge country.

And the mind already goes out to 2016 and Xylexpo, the most important event next year, “an absolute milestone for us”, said Marianna Daschini. “It will be a major date where we are presenting the best of our technology. Starting from “Venus” (www.greda.it/en/Machines/Purple/venus.php), our latest creation, addressed to markets where process automation and high productivity are essential elements; we are further developing these aspects, as well as all our machines.
By addressing customers who look for tailor-made machining centers, we get constant spur, solicitation, hints and suggestions that help us develop and improve our working centers.
Definitely a positive season, which has enabled us to achieve significant growth
”.
