The successful Nuremberg trade fair for secondary wood processing, Holz-Handwerk, is getting ready for its opening tomorrow 16 March, till 19 March 2016. Following a record-breaking event in March 2014, which welcomed 524 exhibitors from 18 countries and experienced a significant increase in visitor numbers.
Every two years, Holz-Handwerk is the must-do event for joiners, carpenters, specialist dealers and experts in furniture-making and interior fittings. The trade fair covers all products and technologies relevant to the everyday work of wood processing companies. The products on display range from woodworking machinery, power and pneumatic tools through fixing systems, hardware, construction elements and fitted systems to timber and engineered wood. At the previous event almost 109,000 visitors took the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and industry topics at the parallel fairs Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale. Fensterbau-Frontale is enjoying very strong demand seven months before it opens its doors. The Exhibition Centre Nuremberg will again become the global industry meeting place from 16 to 19 March 2016, when the who’s who of the window, door and facade sector will display their innovations and trends in eleven halls. Visitor surveys bear out this positive impression: nearly 75 per cent of companies surveyed in 2014 confirmed that they had reached their most important target groups at the exhibition. Two-thirds managed to forge many or a great many contacts and nearly 90 per cent anticipated post-show business. About 109,000 trade visitors travelled to Nuremberg to attend the well-established exhibition duo Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale in 2014.
By shifting the opening times by one hour (now 10:00 to 19:00, Saturday 10:00 to 17:00), the combined Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale trade fair is offering a solution to the increasing traffic congestion experienced at previous events. Exhibitors and visitors can now avoid the morning and evening rush hour traffic. Special travel discounts and extra trains at peak times also make it convenient and easy to use the option of public transport to get to the fair. Holders of exhibitor passes or online tickets can even travel free of charge in Nuremberg.
