Held in Milan on 27 January, at the headquarters of Federlegnoarredo, the general meeting of Fedecomlegno elected the board of directors in office for the next three years. The Governing Council has appointed as new president Alessandro Calcaterra, president of Legnonord spa based in Basiliano, Udine.
These are the first words of Alessandro Calcaterra following the appointment: “My presidency was born out of the great global challenges such as Due Diligence that despite undoubted difficulties, is beginning to have positive effects on the companies in our sector. Do not forget, in fact, that wood is the only sustainable raw material, and that in the next ten years we will see a real boom of timber construction, especially as regards the public and subsidized housing. The first months of my presidency will be directed to communicate the potential of Fedecomlegno in terms of services and consultancy with the aim to broaden the membership base. In this regard we will cooperate in an ever more closely with the consortium Conlegno with the goal of identifying legislative instruments to enable us to be more competitive in Europe. “
Marco Vidoni (Fratelli Vidoni of Montegnacco di Cassacco (Udine), has been appointed president of Assolegno, FederlegnoArredo association that brings together over 500 of the first processing and wood construction enterprises. “Right from the beginning of my presidency, and with the fundamental support of the new board of directors we will put great attention to the consolidation of the role of wood as a material of excellence for the construction and enhancement of the Italian forest industry, but also I will work to strengthen cooperation with the university and regulatory world which in recent years have made a fundamental contribution to the growth of the industry “, so Vidoni at the end of the assembly.
