Holz-Handwerk 2018

The trade fair for woodworking machinery, equipment and supplies for the woodworking and wood processing trade is getting ready for its next appearance from 21 to 24 March 2018 in Nürnberg. The registration phase for the 19th Holz-Handwerk has begun, and those who book a stand before 2 June 2017 will enjoy early booking discounts. Following yet another record-breaking event in March 2016, which saw an increase in visitor numbers and welcomed 494 exhibitors from 19 countries, the leading European fair for the sector intends to once again put on a spectacular show. In 2018, Holz-Handwerk will once again launch its familiar blend of specific technical problem-solving and personal networking – and will inspire exhibitors and visitors alike with its distinctive atmosphere.
“The dispatch of the registration forms means that we have now begun the intensive planning phase. We are deliberately starting earlier than usual to give exhibitors more time to prepare for the trade fair,” explains Stefan Dittrich, Event Director for Holz-Handwerk. “Holz-Handwerk has always been a constant in the industry’s trade fair calendar and is generally booked out very quickly. So if you want to exhibit in 2018 you should contact us as soon as possible”.

The closing date for registrations is 30 June 2017. Interested companies that register by 2 June 2017 will benefit from early booking rates.

The lack of skilled personnel is an issue of concern to the woodworking and wood processing sector. In 2016, organisers NürnbergMesse went some way to resolving this issue by creating the Holz-Handwerk Campus. This dedicated forum of leading technical and vocational colleges and academic institutions is a point of contact for recruits to the industry and provides information about opportunities for training and ongoing skills development. Following its successful debut, this special display area will be continued in 2018.

Discover, experience and do: a convincing concept Holz-Handwerk covers all products and technologies relevant to the everyday work of wood processing companies and is therefore the must-do event every two years for joiners, carpenters, specialist dealers and experts in furniture-making and interior fittings. The products on display range from woodworking machinery, power and pneumatic tools, software, fixing systems, fittings/hardware, construction elements and fitted systems to timber and engineered wood. At the previous event, more than 110,000 visitors took the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and industry topics at the parallel fairs Holz- Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale. The main reasons stated for visiting Holz-Handwerk were to gain more professional knowledge and obtain information on product innovations.
