The Saloni WorldWide Moscow 2017

The 2017 edition of the Saloni WorldWide Moscow closed with positive results, according to the figures given by the organizers to great acclaim – confidence, service and competitiveness being among the key words uttered by the professional operators and exhibiting companies who broached the Russian market once again.
The 13th edition of the Saloni WorldWide Moscow, which drew to a close last Saturday at Moscow’s Crocus Expo exhibition centre, proved yet again to be the most important quality furniture and furnishing accessories event on Russian soil. 32,490 attendees, of whom 18,269 trade operators (plus 9.3 percent versus 2016), were recorded over the four-day event. “We are ending this 13th edition of the Saloni WorldWide Moscow on an extremely high note and with a genuine desire to follow up the interesting contacts made over the last few days. It has been an extremely positive edition, signalling a clear step change both in terms of quality and in terms of numbers, and with a significant presence of specialist professionals, architects and retailers not just from Moscow but from all the regions. The visitor profiles of those attending the two pavilions at the fair and striking up trade opportunities with the exhibitors were highly skilled and professional. We now need to capitalise on this and do our best to grow the prestige of the event still further, by bringing over the best of the design showcased at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and involving as many high-end leading brands as possible. We will set to work immediately to make the event even more attractive and an even better business opportunity”, said Claudio Luti, President of the Salone del Mobile. Another key factor was the hospitality extended by the Italian Trade Agency Ice to 120 sectoral professionals chosen from 24 regions of the Russian Federation and Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, who took part in a packed programme of B2B meetings.
This year also marked the 13th edition of the SaloneSatellite WorldWide Moscow, involving 37 young designers from Russia and the former Soviet Republics. The awardwinners will be invited to the next edition of SaloneSatellite, which will be held under the umbrella of the Salone del Mobile.Milano from 17th to 22nd April 2018. The three fascinating and packed Master Classes provided an opportunity for reflection
and in-depth discussion around the issues of design with leading names in Italian architecture and design – Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda, Massimo Iosa Ghini and Cristina Celestino – along with the Work Talk, an absorbing and popular workshop given by the well-known Russian interior Diana Balashova. The event also featured the fourth edition of Made expo WorldWide, the exhibition devoted to interior architecture, in which leading Italian door and surface sector companies took part.
The Saloni WorldWide Moscow will be back in October 2018.
