Giardina Group makes its debut at Xylexpo: after the presentation of the brand at the last edition of Ligna, Milan is hosting the first participation of the group – officially born on December 28th with the signing of the notary deed that established the merger of three historical brands of the Italian finishing industry (Mauri Macchine, Giardina Finishing and Ventilazione Italiana) – in a great world fair. A booth of 580 square meters, the largest staging in the history of the companies that have joined the group, states once again that the union is strength, and that the project pursued for decades by Giampiero Mauri, has its own reason to exist.
“Our participation in Xylexpo celebrates, in fact, our desire to give continuity to the history that our father has started“, comments Stefano Mauri, co-owner and sales manager Giardina Group. “It will be the first Xylexpo without him and we are sure that both us and many of the operators who come to visit us will miss his smile, his jokes … our visitors and friends will find, however, an important booth, a large space dedicated to the machines and technologies, witnessing the work that we have done in recent months to better integrate the skills of the brands that are now part of the group“.
A new season has begun with great vigor, in the path of continuity, but also with the desire to take further steps forward. This is essential if we want to compete in a global market increasingly looking for innovative and effective solutions.
An industrial structure that is in full transformation: today Giardina Group has a headquarter in Figino Serenza, in the premises that belonged to Giardina Finishing. Important developments have already been carried out to accommodate the 60 employees of the group. And soon another construction site will start for a new two thousand square meter show room close to the production plants.
“My brother Riccardo and I feel the need to show adequately what we know how to do. The technologies evolve, the offer is increasingly complex. Our customers, users want to understand exactly what they can do with a certain machine, using certain products, applying them according to their needs. Hence the choice to invest in the Giampiero Mauri Innovation Center, a show room but at the same time a laboratory for trials and tests, space for meetings and training events, as well as hospitality“.
An important investment, this will make it possible to bring the Giardina Group experience at a different level from the point of view of the structures and methods for meeting and sharing technology with customers. This investment is viewed with confidence in light of the results achieved in 2017: a turnover of 18 million euros – with an absolutely significant increase compared to 12.5 million in 2016- and ahead of the forecast for 2018, which should end with a result of around 20 million euros. “The first four months of this year have allowed us to sign orders for over 12 million euros – commented Stefano Mauri – and if this trend were to be confirmed in the coming weeks, we could easily go beyond our brightest expectations, as it is our custom to keep our feet on the ground and take one step after another … “.
This growth is sustained by a whole series of factors and strategic choices: from the optimization of investments in new management tools and support to the technical office, the modernization of production areas to the restructuring and enlargement of the offices, and the greater commitment in sectors new (from glass to fiber-cement) up to the definition of partnerships on the digital printing side.
“At Xylexpo we will tell of this, the solidity of our choices and our technologies, the will to take further steps down a fifty-year-long path, hand in hand with a strong and cohesive team“, concluded Stefano Mauri. “A team in which the paint manufacturers who will be at our side in the five days of the exhibition in Milan: every day one of them will be en expert with their own products at our “workshop at the fair “and visitors will see all our machines at work with the products of Ica, Ivm, Renner, Sherwin Williams, Sirca“.
