Stability for machine tools orders on 3Q 2018

The index of machine tool orders for the third quarter of 2018, developed by the Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, is growing steadily, increasing by 0.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The absolute value of the index is equal to 109.2 (base 2010 = 100).
The trend of orders collected on the foreign market was up by 6.8 percent compared to the period July-September 2017, for an absolute value of the index equal to 122.4.
Conversely, orders collected on the domestic market fell back, where the index fell by 15.3 percent compared to the third quarter of 2017, for an absolute value of 56.
