Dieffenbacher witnesses a successful business year: 2018

The leading manufacturer of press systems and complete production plants for the wood-based panel industry as well as automotive, aviation and recycling industries achieved significant milestones in various business areas in 2018. In its wood-based panel business, Dieffenbacher has now sold more than 20 “Cps+” continuous presses for the production of particleboards, Mdf and Osb boards. The “Cps+” was introduced in May 2015. Additionally, Dieffenbacher reached the milestone of 100 continuous presses sold for the production of wood panels in China.
In cooperation with research institutes and industry partners, Dieffenbacher’s Composites business unit furthered the development of lightweight construction. The solutions for the production of glass-and carbon fiber-reinforced plastic parts help to reduce the weight and fuel consumption of vehicles and aircraft. In spring 2018, Dieffenbacher introduced its new “Fiberpress” press series and during the year booked four orders for these technically and optically optimized presses.
Dieffenbacher’s Recycling business unit supplies plants that recycle waste wood and process industrial and municipal solid waste. Thanks to its new waste wood recycling plant from Dieffenbacher, wood panel manufacturer Pfleiderer from Neumarkt saved more than a quarter of a million tons of fresh wood by replacing it with recycled wood.
The Dieffenbacher Group of companies is run by the fifth generation of the Dieffenbacher family. The company employs more than 1,700 people worldwide, about 800 of whom work at the company’s headquarters in Eppingen. Currently, 49 junior staff members are being trained in the company’s training center.
