CONTRIBUTION 04 – Emc

Here is the fourth contribution of our initiative. This is the turn of Imola-based company Emc.

1. How are you reacting to this emergency?

“For the time being, we have just stopped production in compliance with the directives of public authorities and we checked all available options for long-term loans or financing. So far with no tangible results…”.

2. What do you think is changing or will change radically?

“The relationship with employees will be different. And the growing lack of trust in authorities will cause revenues and investments to collapse. A few companies will not re-open, unfortunately.”

3. What should the authorities and all of us do?

“The authorities (with a lower case ‘a’) should immediately offer – within two to three weeks at the latest – long-term financing to all companies in trouble, which include 80-90 percent of all industry companies. This money should be transferred to their bank accounts by April 25!”
