  1. How are you reacting to this emergency?

“We have reacted with a fighting spirit, typical of proud Bergamo people as we are!”.

  1. What do you think is changing or will change radically?

“I am afraid only sensitive and respectful people will change their habits, although I hope we will all learn the lesson and improve…”.

  1. What should the authorities and all of us do?

“We should re-focus on human beings in every domain, from healthcare to economy. I daresay “fewer machines and more humans!”.
The authorities should be more practical and close to the needs of businesses and families, talking less and acting more. Take our organization, for instance: we are a small company, with six employees in total. Wel, we have submitted our application for temporary layoffs and – provided that none of our employees are registered with a trade union – two out of three trade unions we turned replied that they would not sign any agreement because accruals were not guaranteed.

Now, in this situation, what’s the use of trade unions also standing in the way? Not to mention that their opinion is not binding, as far as I know…

Also in this critical situation, we are paying the fee of useless bureaucracy; right now, I am going to check the law decree by the Italian government for cash flow aids to businesses, and I am pretty sure my hair will turn white!”.
