Italians increasingly digital: advertising spending +360 percent

It has now been established how the lockdown has changed many of our buying habits and behaviors. The average online presence of users has increased by about 300 percent in a few months (Marketing01 data), a figure that has not escaped companies and brands, which have therefore revised their promotional strategies.

According to the study carried out by SEMrush – specialized in the management of online visibility and SaaS content marketing platform – which examined the online searches of users in Italy over the last 12 months, the average spending for Google Ads relating to the domains examined is grew by 359 percent from January 2020 to September 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, and by 78 percent from May to August, according to the analysis carried out thanks to Advertising Toolkit.
