Lamello: focus on system solutions for joining wood

The Swiss family-run business Lamello AG, based in Bubendorf, is taking a new business direction. In future, the company will focus on system solutions for wood joining and streamline its portfolio.

Lamello AG develops, produces and markets joining system solutions for wood processing companies. On the occasion of its 50th anniversary in 2019, the business decided to develop its corporate strategy in order to adapt to changing market conditions and streamline its existing portfolio.

As of 31 December 2020, the production and marketing of “Minispot” patches, knot patches, “Minispot” grooving machine “G2A“, glue application systems “LK3“, “LK5“, “LK10“, grooving machine “Variocut“, laminate trimmer “Profila” product lines will be discontinued. The availability of spare parts is guaranteed for at least five years.

With its new orientation, Lamello AG is concentrating on the needs of cabinet makers and wood processors. Developing unique products, offering added value and improving productivity remain important elements of the company. Promising new features for the future are in development.
