Italy: reference practice for management of wood waste

The reference practice UNI/PdR 115 “Management of reclaimed wood for the production of wood-based panels” was published today: the document describes good practices for the management of wood waste used in the production process of chipboard panels and fibers, in order to ensure that the wood-based panel favors the circular economy as desired by the European Union, allowing the recovery of material instead of landfilling or energy recovery, respects the technical regulations of the sector, and is CAM compliant (Minimum Environmental Criteria for public administration purchases) as regards the quality of the recycled material.
