Fanuc has increased its monthly production to 11 thousand units

With 374,000 units manufactured in 2020, Japan is the first country for the production of industrial robots, with an overall market coverage of 45 percent. In 2020, Japan exported 136,069 industrial robots worldwide, showing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6 percent over the past five years in exports.

These are the data released by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) on the occasion of iREX 2022, the world reference fair for robotics which took place in Tokyo from 9 to 12 March. And – on the occasion of iREX – Fanuc, a Japanese company specializing in robotics, numerical control and industrial automation, presented three new “Crx” collaborative robots, which bring its range of “cobots” to 11 models and make it the most complete on the market in terms of payload and reach.

Some of the main features of the new range of “cobots” made by Fanuc are the extreme ease of use, the versatility of use in various applications that involve sharing the workspace with people, the absence of maintenance for eight years and the possibility of teaching the robot the movements with the hand guide. Furthermore, with the constant increase in demand (also due to the increasing difficulty in finding manpower) which exceeded 3 million operating units worldwide, Fanuc has increased its monthly production of robots from 9,400 to 11 thousand units.
