The balance of the 2022 edition of Lamiera, the international exhibition of machine tools for sheet metal forming and related technologies, which took place at Fieramilano Rho from May 18 to 21, is positive.

Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, and organized by Ceu-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, Lamiera returned to the stage after three years, postponed for 12 months due to the pandemic.

In fact, more than 19,000 entries were registered at the turnstiles during the 4-day event. Beyond the total number, which turned out to be higher than expected, it is the quality of the visits that distinguished the audience of operators who took part in Lamiera 2022.

In fact, most of the exhibitors, interviewed at the booths, reported the presence of qualified operators and visits mainly oriented by purchase intentions.

Of the total number of visitors in attendance, 12 percent were from abroad representing about 60 countries. The most numerous delegations came from: Austria, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Holland, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the USA.

Barbara Colombo, president of Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre, commented: “The event that has just ended met with the full approval of the exhibitors, who said they were satisfied with the contacts made and, in some cases, concluded important negotiations directly at the fair. With these results“, added the Ucimu president. “Lamiera 2022 has, in fact, prepared the ground for the 2023 edition, which we expect with even greater numbers.
