”DoorCreator”: door design and production tool by Egalware

Doors are not just a passage between two rooms, but have become a real furnishing accessory that can change the appearance of a room and give it a unique style.

Egalware, a Bergamo-based company specialized in developing cad/cam software and systems for Industry 4.0, has created a dedicated software for  the creation of doors: “DoorCreator“

“DoorCreator” is dedicated to the world of doors and frames, composed of a module for the design and another for the machining  management  specific to this application. The purpose of this software is to integrate with production systems to increase productivity by simplifying all phases, from design to finished product.
The software allows to create parametric drawings of single or double doors, with or without frames, allowing to define dimensions, opening type, shape (e.g., rectangular or arched), machining over stock, and the hardware to be installed.

The library dedicated to hardware management, able to handle thousands of models, is designed to create and modify hardware elements according to specific needs and then save them, sorted by brand and model, to have them available immediately.

“DoorCreator” performs automatic calculation of the machining operations, starting with the blank size and its positioning on the machine, then defining the individual machining operations by type of hardware used.

The software also allows machining to be customized in both automatic and manual mode.

“We are always attentive to new developments and market demands – told us Egalware – so we plan to shortly market a further extension of this product”. In fact, beginning of 2023, the new “WebDoorCreator” will be released, which will improve the current “DoorCreator” by introducing web-based operation that will allow the end customer to configure his door in total autonomy and send the order directly to the manufacturing company, significantly reducing design time and costs.
