IMA Schelling opens a new subsidiary in Istanbul

Ima Schelling, the specialist group for woodworking systems and solutions, has announced the opening of a new subsidiary in Istanbul, Turkey. “The Turkish furniture market is a booming industry,” the company explained in a press release.
The Turkish industry’s turnover is estimated at almost eight billion US dollars in 2024 and is expected to grow at an annual rate of almost nine per cent for the next five years (source: statista.com).

Over 300 of our machines are in use in the country, a third of them in Istanbul,” explained Enes Morkoc, service director of Ima Schelling Istanbul Makina. “We want to service our local customers faster and more efficiently.”
An expansion of the team with the addition of service technicians is also planned in the near future. “We see potential in the expanding Turkish market,” emphasised Simon Waterbaer, sales director of Ima Schelling.
