Raute: record orders

Raute Corporation, the Finnish manufacturer of veneer, plywood and LVL technology, continues to record orders. The company’s order intake rose to EUR 315 million, more than doubling the previous year’s EUR 138 million, with major contributions from Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and South America.

Despite these numbers, net sales for 2023 were EUR 145.4 million, down 8.2 per cent from the previous year, mainly due to the well-known ‘Russian issues’.

MARKET SHARES
Geographically, Europe accounted for 40 per cent of net sales, North America 30 per cent, South America 15 per cent, Asia-Pacific 6 per cent and Russia 9 per cent. The company also achieved a comparable Ebitda of EUR 9.3 million, marking a recovery from previous lows. In Q4 2023, Raute secured its largest ever contract with Metsä Wood, contributing a record EUR 118 million in orders.
