Earthquake, FederlegnoArredo: good incentive to use wood

“We welcome what was approved by the Earthquake Cabin within the Structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner for Earthquake Reconstruction 2016, which introduced an incentive measure, equal to 10 percent of the contribution, for the construction of load-bearing wooden structures in the case of demolition with reconstruction of buildings with damage status L4”.
This was stated in a note by FederlegnoArredo, which, together with the Symbola Foundation, has worked alongside the commissarial structure and will promote it in the coming months through a training and dissemination activity aimed at local institutions and professional associations involved in the important reconstruction work that these territories urgently need.

This is the first measure in Italy that recognizes and enhances the use of wood in construction and will have an important spin-off in local production chains, in full compliance with sustainable forest management. The Federation’s commitment to enhancing the value of wood and companies in the sector has proven to be fundamental in achieving a strategic goal.
