“Against War. 7 Designers for EMERGENCY” at Milan’s Triennale during Design Week

08/04/2025

During Milan Design Week 2025, from April 7 to 13, the Triennale will host the exhibition “Against War. 7 Designers for EMERGENCY”, curated by Italian designer Giulio Iacchetti. The show brings together seven original works inspired by the legacy of Gino Strada, founder of the humanitarian NGO EMERGENCY, and his call to imagine a world without war — “the most urgent and stimulating challenge humanity must face.”

Among the featured installations is Iacchetti’s “Letters from the Front”, a small postal station where visitors are invited to write letters of reconciliation, apology, or gratitude — personal gestures of peace and reflection.

The works include materials from Milesi, a leading global brand in wood coatings and finishes, whose products were used in the creation of Iacchetti’s piece, underlining the project’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

The exhibition offers a powerful space for contemplating peace through the lens of contemporary design.
