04/06/2025

In its fiftieth anniversary year, Ligna 2025 hosted 1,433 exhibitors from 49 countries, across a total exhibition space of 114,078 square meters. According to data released by the organizers, the event welcomed 78,000 visitors from 156 countries, a turnout in line with the previous edition. 56 percent of attendees came from abroad, with the largest international delegations arriving from Poland, Italy, and Austria, followed by the Netherlands, France, and Belgium.

Qualified professionals reportedly made up 93 percent of the audience, with 60 percent in managerial roles and 44 percent in top-level decision-making positions. This year introduced two new formats: Ligna.Circular, focused on circular economy and sustainable material use, and Ligna.TruckStop, designed for carpenters, joiners, and craftsmen as a platform for exchange on the latest power tools.

The next edition of Ligna has been scheduled for May 10–14, 2027, once again at the Hannover Exhibition Center. Starting in 2027, and following consultation with exhibitors and the woodworking machinery association within VDMA, the show will no longer overlap with Ascension Day but will instead take place over five full working days.
