”Next Wood” returns for its second edition on September 24, 2026

The date has been announced for the second edition of “Next Wood – Coatings for Furniture, Finishes and Technologies for Tomorrow”, the technical-scientific symposium dedicated to innovation in the furniture coatings sector. The event will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Organized by Acimall, Catas, and PoliEFUN – Politecnico di Milano, the symposium will once again bring together researchers, raw material producers, formulators, designers, end users, and standardization bodies to discuss the latest challenges and prospects in a market increasingly focused on sustainability, performance, and aesthetics.

The one-day event will include a series of technical presentations and a concluding round table featuring experts and key stakeholders from the industry.

A Call for Abstracts has also been launched, inviting research centers, companies, and professionals to submit technical contributions addressing the main current topics: technological and formulation innovation, low-emission materials and technologies, recycling and end-of-life solutions, emerging industry trends, digitalization, and best industrial practices.

Abstract proposals must be submitted by Friday, February 13, 2026, to formazione@catas.com, including the title, speaker’s name, and company or institutional affiliation.
