Kartell returns to Bologna with the opening of a new flagship store on Strada Maggiore, one of the city’s most iconic streets. The new location marks a strategic comeback for the brand and further strengthens its retail presence in Italy, choosing an address that embodies Bologna’s architectural heritage and refined elegance.

“Retail plays a central role in Kartell’s strategy,” says Lorenza Luti, CEO of Kartell. “Returning to Bologna with a flagship store in a historic palazzo on Strada Maggiore is a significant step for us. Here, our design enters into dialogue with a highly evocative architectural setting, allowing us to fully express our values of quality, research and creativity.”

The flagship store is housed in a prestigious historic building featuring generous spaces, vaulted ceilings and a central hall entirely decorated with frescoes. A setting where memory and innovation meet, becoming an integral part of the Kartell experience.

Inside, the brand’s latest collections, presented at the Salone del Mobile, coexist with iconic pieces that have shaped Kartell’s history. Furniture, lighting and accessories interact with the architectural context through transparencies, glossy surfaces and essential forms, creating a fluid and coherent journey that reflects the Kartell lifestyle.

The Strada Maggiore flagship store is not only a new retail destination, but a space designed to enhance contemporary design within a historic context, reaffirming Kartell’s identity through research, quality and a forward-looking vision.
