NEW PRODUCTS
There will also be numerous innovations that will project visitors into a “… new era of innovation”, where competitive advantage is no longer guaranteed solely by the machine or system, but by the ability to integrate them into connected, flexible and sustainable production models.
The open house will offer a rich programme of live technical demonstrations, tours of SCM’s Rimini production facilities, live connections with other sites in Italy and insights into the latest technological and market developments. In addition to the expansion of the SCM product and service portfolio, further highlights will include strategic partnerships with new group companies: Tecno Logica in the field of integrated systems and robotics, and Mecal Machinery for the aluminium, PVC and light alloys sector.
DIGITAL SYSTEMS AND SERVICES
The event will shine a spotlight on an integrated service ecosystem, designed to deliver greater efficiency, more stable operational control and continuous production thanks to technologies that transform machine data into tangible support.
At the heart of this modular architecture will be “WinMES“, SCM’s manufacturing execution system developed in partnership with Tecnest, a specialist in advanced software solutions for production planning and supply chain management. “WinMES – the group explains in the press release issued for the launch of the event – is the true ‘digital brain’ of the factory, which by integrating and interpreting real-time data optimises production flows, accelerates operational decisions and increases the overall reliability of the system“.
Factory intelligence is further enhanced by the “Smart Spindle“, the advanced sensorisation system for the electrospindle, enabling predictive analysis and helping to prevent unplanned machine downtime (we discussed this in this article, ed.).
To protect the entire ecosystem, SCM integrates advanced Cybersecurity solutions, ensuring data, process and infrastructure security.
From 2026, new SCM machines will be equipped with Additional Care, the programme that provides comprehensive protection through extended warranty on spare parts and technical assistance, as well as a 3-year maintenance plan. The result: more stable, protected production ready to achieve company targets.
