Homag reshuffles top management
Leadership changes at Homag. The board of directors of the German giant has been reduced from three to two members effective January 1, 2026. The decision follows the departure of Sergej Schwarz, who stepped down on December 31, 2025 after accepting a new challenge within the Dürr Group. The board will be composed of CEO Daniel Schmitt and CFO Rainer Gausepohl.
The reorganization involves a redistribution of responsibilities. CEO Daniel Schmitt will oversee Plant Engineering, Project Sales, Production & Engineering, as well as the strategic functions of Research & Development, Industrial Engineering, and Portfolio Management. CFO Rainer Gausepohl will be responsible for Strategic Management Processes, along with Software & Digital and Sustainability.
As part of the organizational realignment, Frederik Meyer will take charge of global sales, which will also incorporate marketing. Already responsible for global pricing and global partner management, Meyer will play a central role in developing sales and marketing activities worldwide.
Achim Homeier, previously head of marketing, will instead focus his mandate entirely on expanding strategic product portfolio management, with the aim of strengthening the group’s strategic direction and the coherent evolution of its offering.
