“Makor Tech Days 2026”: “Made in Tuscany” finishing
New ideas, new technologies, new visions of finishing. From April 16 to 30, 2026, in conjunction with the Salone del Mobile, several Tuscan companies will open their doors for a series of coordinated open houses, creating a technological route between Milan and Tuscany. Among them, Makor stands out, a group based in Sinalunga, just a few kilometers from Siena, specializing in the development of coating and finishing solutions. The company will take center stage with the “Makor Tech Days 2026”, an opportunity designed to welcome customers and industry professionals directly into its production departments, offering a close-up look at technologies, processes and innovations. The choice of timing, parallel to the Salone del Mobile, allows international visitors already in Italy to enrich their professional experience by combining the trade fair visit with a concrete and direct insight at Makor.
“In this context, Makor opens the doors of its headquarters for a new edition of the “Makor Tech Days”, the open house dedicated to coating technologies for furniture, doors, windows and flooring. Following the excellent results of 2024, the event is consolidating as a moment for application demonstrations and direct dialogue with industry professionals, focusing on complete cycles, technological innovation and technical exchange”.
Three active testing rooms, 28 machines in operation and over 1,200 square meters of operational technology: not just a showroom, but a real production environment where it is possible to observe complete cycles applied to kitchen doors, interior doors, flat and three-dimensional panels, profiles and components for contemporary furniture.
In addition to the testing rooms, visitors will have exclusive access to the production department, with the opportunity to witness live the assembly and testing phases of the most advanced machines and systems.
“An immersive experience that allows understanding not only the finished technology, but also the industrial process that generates it. The goal is to offer a concrete, high-value technical experience, made up of application tests, result analysis and direct dialogue with the Makor team”.

SUPER MATT AND PROCESS EFFICIENCY
The protagonists of the 2026 edition will be the “Super Matt” finishes with “Excimer” technology, increasingly in demand for mid- to high-end furniture. During the “Makor Tech Days” it will be possible to follow the entire cycle: application of “Nano Excimer WB”, pigmented and transparent, with a Cartesian robot, drying in a high-efficiency air tunnel, polymerization in an excimer oven without the use of nitrogen and final UV drying.
“A process that combines aesthetic depth, velvety tactility and surface resistance, with precise industrial control of parameters and greater sustainability of the cycle”.
Alongside this, space will be given to edge preparation on melamine-faced MDF with “Eqs” thermo-sealing and double UV coating, a solution that ensures visual continuity and perceived quality even in the details, which are increasingly decisive in the design of kitchen doors and interior doors.
APPLICATION TECHNOLOGIES
Ample space will be dedicated to matte UV spray cycles for large doors and panels, with oscillating systems and LED and traditional drying, designed to reduce cycle times and energy consumption while maintaining high quality standards.
Among the most anticipated innovations is the new “Flatcoat 10–10S–20” program for roller finishing of flat doors and panels: primer application with roller coater, LED drying, intermediate sanding, application of matte finish and edge treatment. A solution aimed at advanced industrialization, focusing on productivity, uniformity and repeatability of results.
NEW FEATURES 2026
In addition to proven technologies and current trends, this year’s edition of the “Makor Tech Days” will also introduce a series of innovations aimed at further expanding Makor’s technological offering.
The event will mark the debut – among others – of the new “Iride Belt” spraying machine with robotic arm, designed for simple, repeatable and highly efficient setups.
This new automatic sprayer, with a renewed design, is equipped with a continuous belt conveyor system 500 mm wide, ensuring production speeds of up to 130 meters per minute. It also integrates an efficient paint recovery and washing system and a large pressurized spray booth to ensure maximum process quality and cleanliness.
The solution is completed by an extensive range of circuits and line automation, with Cartesian or robotic gun positioning systems for fast and precise setup. The new software management, with a 15-inch touch display, is simple and intuitive, natively compatible with “Industry 4.0” requirements.
The machine range can be configured according to the type of coating used (water-based, polyurethane, UV) and the specific production needs of the line.

Also new is the two-level profile drying oven “Hto 2P”, designed to optimize space and increase production capacity.
Designed to accelerate the drying of coatings applied to linear profiles, this system uses a wide range of drying technologies to adapt to different production needs.
The double transverse level allows space optimization while ensuring high performance, with production speeds of up to 150 meters per minute. High-efficiency handling and unloading systems allow management of up to 30 pieces per minute.
The high modularity makes it possible to create customized systems based on the available space at the customer’s site. The supporting structure is designed to process profiles up to 300 mm wide, ensuring reliability and operational continuity even in the most intensive production conditions.
On the UV front, a panel oven with LED lamps will also be presented, while for super matte finishes there will be the nitrogen-free excimer oven “Mak Matt”, dedicated to cycles with extremely high aesthetic performance.
This “Nano-Excimer” technology has been designed to achieve matte and ultra-resistant surfaces without the use of nitrogen and with extremely low maintenance costs. It ensures high-quality 2D and 3D finishes and maximum production consistency throughout the entire process, and is designed for panels of any shape, including shaped parts, integrated handles (J-handle) and French-style doors.
The roller transport system with LED lamps at the inlet is followed by a series of matting lamps, equipped with height adjustment and a dedicated ventilation system to ensure long operational life.
Completing the picture are the “Flatcoat 10-20” roller coater, the “Flatcoat 10s” roller filler, the PVC wood-effect technology “Dekorblock” and the “Mqs” quality control system with artificial vision and defect analysis.
INDUSTRY 5.0 AND INTELLIGENT CONTROL
The concept “Powered by Human Intelligence” translates into an increasingly close integration between automation, digital monitoring and technical expertise. MQS systems enable process control, traceability and predictive intervention, strengthening the Industry 5.0 approach applied to industrial finishing.
“The “Makor Tech Days” thus confirm themselves not only as a technological showcase, but as a moment of networking and updating for manufacturers, technicians and production managers who want to experience first-hand the evolution of finishing in the furniture sector”.
