Homag, record in the first quarter: orders up 49 per cent

Homag’s numbers are positive in the first quarter of 2021. The group, in fact, recorded a significant increase in orders of around 49 percent (448 million euros in 2021 compared to 302 last year). Sales reached 309 million euros (up 7 percent compared to last year) and the order book at 31 March 2021 exceeded 719 million euros, recording an increase of just under 30 percent (exactly one year earlier they were to 556 million euros). Operating EBIT stood at 13.5 million euros (compared to 16.1 million in the previous year).

“The positive trend of the last months of 2020 continued in the first quarter of 2021“, underlined Ralf W. Dieter, ceo of the group. “Even if the margin has not yet reached the pre-crisis level, we have confirmation that the mobile is back in an investment cycle after two years of weakness“.
