Wemhöner close 2018 with plus 10 percent

Wemhöner surface technologies in Germany was able to successfully close 2018 with the highest annual revenue in the company’s history to date and was thus 10 percent up on the previous year. With its 330 employees, the family-owned company from Herford considers itself well positioned for the year 2019. It has just been listed for the second time among the 460 world market leaders in Germany by the University of St. Gallen.
Wemhöner (Changzhou) machinery manufacturing in China was equally successful last year. For the first time, sales exceeded 36 millions euro. The future prospects for the Chinese company with its 170 employees also remain positive. In the summer of 2019, the construction of another company at the Changzhou site will begin. Completion is scheduled for summer 2020. After the expansion in 2018 in Herford, China will follow with a time delay.
Consolidated Group sales for Wemhöner rose to almost 140 millions euro for the first time in 2018. Due to the high order backlog at the companies, similar Group sales are also expected in 2019. While the Herford-based company has meanwhile achieved an export ratio of over 90 percent, the Chinese company now exports 30 percent.
